The aim of the sharehoolders was to encourage the development of a prime sea front location and promote investment and tourism, while protecting its natural and historical assets.

Owners commissioned Bacha to propose a new Masterplan for their privately owned land and conduct impacts assessment and propose a land use policy change and conduct the relevant Strategic Impact Assessment (SIA).

Performed studies included a sound basis for decision-making about the design of the policy framework components that takes economic, environmental and social factors into consideration, ensuring that policy is implemented with full awareness of these factors, and increasing awareness of stakeholders about associated potential impacts at various levels.

Performed Assignment:

• Prepared the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) study for the land use policy change of the proposed Master Plan
• Prepared Micro and Macro Socio-economic and fiscal impacts of the proposed change of land use
