The proposed project involves the construction and operation of a stone cutting facility to be located in Aidamoun, Caza of Akkar, North Lebanon. The facility is to be located around 1 km from residential agglomerations, and will produce stone products of various kinds (Basalt, Marble and granite). As part of the licensing procedure for the project, the Lebanese Ministry of environment requested an Environmental Impact Assessment prior to approval. Therefore, the project proponent retained ELBacha to conduct this EIA study.

Completion of an Environmental Impact Assessment for the stone cutting facility, structured to meet the requirements set in Annex 8 of decree 8633 dated 7/7/2012 (Environmental Impact Assessment Fundamentals) and decision no. 261/1 dated 25/6/2015 (Procedure for the review of EIA reports) aiming at implementing the environmental management plan to decrease its impacts and abate pollution.
