“MARINE INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE S.A.R.L.” (BI) are constructing a floating barge on which will be erected a five-star hotel. The construction is taking place at a shipyard  in Tripoli – North Lebanon.

The construction started in 2012 according to a special permit issued by the concerned Ministry authorizing to build the barge  for export outside Lebanon.

BI commissioned Bacha to conduct an environmental audit for the construction of this barge.

Performed Assignment:

• Completion of an audit in collaboration with Sustainable Environmental Solutions. The audit was prepared within the guidelines of the National Environmental Audit Manual and as promulgated by the Ministry of Environment of Lebanon.
