ACDI/VOCA based in Washington, D.C is an economic development organization that fosters broad based economic growth. ACDI/VOCA has won in 2010 a $22 million USAID-funded program that aims to strengthen Lebanon’s horticulture export market linkages and establish a vibrant high-value fruit, vegetables and flowers hydroponic sector.

Performed Assignment:

  • Developed a strategy plan and document that underline the operational strategy needed for the short-term, medium term and long-term for the program to access international markets;
  • Developed a value chain map and assessment of the fruit, vegetable and flowers in Lebanon with emphasis on strength, weakness, opportunities and threats within the value chain;
  • Developed a value chain and assessment of program partners and their role within the value chain based on validation of existing production and post-harvest available resources.
